Via the AP: NM Gov. Bill Richardson endorsing Obama
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the nation’s only Hispanic governor, is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama for president, calling him a “once-in-a- lifetime leader” who can unite the nation and restore America’s international leadership.
Richardson, who dropped out of the Democratic race in January, is to appear with Obama on Friday at a campaign event in
Portland, Ore., The Associated Press has learned.
While, no doubt, welcome news in the Obama camp, I have to admit that I am baffled that Richardson has taken this long to make this decision. The Obama camp has to be thinking “why not back before Texas and Ohio?”
Perhaps more significant than the endorsement itself is the fact that Richardson is a superdelegate.

Still . . . timing wasn’t bad, as it matters, which I didn’t think it would at this late date.
