Mike Huckabee: As expected, Huckabee won, which preserves his first tier status for the moment. Despite the win, I still don’t see him winning the nomination.
Mitt Romney: Barring a big win in the NH, this is the beginning of the end for Mr. Mitt.
John McCain: It is unclear if he is in 3rd or 4th but the showing appears to be a respectable showing for a guy who didn’t campaign in the state.
Fred Thompson: Have I mentioned that he’s toast.
Ron Paul: Have I mentioned: he won!
Rudy Giuliani: 4% sucks, even if you are a guy who didn’t campaign in Iowa if you are, in fact, America’s MayorTM.
The Dems:
Barack Obama: A big win. By beating Edwards he positions himself for a two-way race with Clinton.
John Edwards: Coming in second means he lost. He isn’t long for the race as a viable candidate, IMHO.
Hillary Clinton: Coming in third isn’t a problem. Obama winning, that’s the problem.
Bill Richardson: Teaming up with Obama?
Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd:
Both getting out of the race.
Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel: Still not doing so well.

Hrmmmm . . . the funny thing about all this is how some of the Ronulans were predicting a finish “no worse than third”. Now that he lost, they still have hope for NH, but some have taken on the tone of “well, its a moral victory that got me to stop voting for evil big government types.”
