  1. The journalist in me is interested in the concept you point out here Dr. Taylor. We’ve seen it for ages, but it has become more prevalent in recent times. It is most definitely a signal from the headline writer. “I bet you aren’t going to read all of this story, I’ve got to get this in where I can.”

    Clearly the person tasked with this responsibility at Reuters doesn’t seem to think you’ll sift through even the second paragraph. I’m not sure who is being insulted here the most, the reader or the medium.
