You are so right about kids getting hurt even while being supervised. Unfortunately it happens and as a parent I'd go nuts calling every toy manufacturer about the quality of their toys. Damage Control would have to apply to everything they play with especially something that requires electricity. Kids can get paper cuts on books, swallow a broken balloon, eat paste, chew crayons, run with scissors (how common is that, right?). It's about communication in most cases. My kids were told to be carefull of the HOT stove before they got an Easy-Bake Oven. I'm lucky they understood and never stuck their fingers in either one. Also a single father here of two daughters. There are instructions printed clearly on the box for goodness sake. Why are kids cooking anything for that matter without supervision? What's going to be next? Children electrocuted by playing the game Operation? "My son wash reaching for the 'funny bone' and went into cardiac arrest." The toy oven is fine, it's the minds of the parents that seem to be a bit overcooked. Where are the parents when the kids are sticking their hands in the toy oven, while it’s on??
