Charles Krauthammer weighs in as well: Pandora and Polygamy.
And, again, the vehicle for raising the issue is HBO’s Big Love (could this show have gotten more free publicity?).
I continue to question a) the political will to legalize polyamory, even if one can make a logical argument that same-sex marriage somehow leads to an argument for other alternative formulations of civic unions, and b) this notion that there is a widespread wave of persons who would be interested in such an arrangement.
Interestingly, Krauthammer’s two examples are fictional: the aforementioned TV series and a movie about two men in love with the same woman.
I could be radically wrong here, but I just don’t see any potential groundswell of support for plural marriage.
