Canadians are preparing to cast votes in a general election with opinion polls suggesting the first Conservative government in 12 years.The election, the second in 18 months, was triggered when Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin lost a confidence vote late last year.

Two last-minute opinion polls put Mr Harper’s Conservatives 10 points ahead of the Liberals - 37% to 27%. But they suggest the Conservatives will not gain a majority in the 308-seat house.

How are the Tories going to put together a government? Surely the NDP and the Bloc won’t ally with them?!?!!
Maybe the NDP will get enough seats to be the ultimate power broker.
