Given that I had noted this story earlier in the week, here’s the latest, which calls into question the earlier version of the story: National Ledger - Panthers Cheerleaders Deny Lesbian Sex, Loud Moans Only Crying

Channel 8 from Tampa reports that the brunette TopCat (Angela Keathley) “was crying over an ex-boyfriend - not having sex with her teammate (blonde Renee Thomas) - when a fracas erupted over the women sharing a stall.”

At least two women alleged in a Tampa police report they heard moaning in a Banana Joe’s bathroom stall about 2 a.m. Sunday and thought Keathley and Victoria Renee Thomas, 20, of Pittsboro, N.C., were having sex.

Another woman thought Thomas was drunk and ill.

Episcopo offered another version of events: that Keathley became “emotional” over talking about her ex-boyfriend in the bar. “The blonde was comforting her,” he said.

So you have three possibilities:

a) carnal relations.
b) crying over a boyfriend
c) drunken illness

Probability-wise, the more salacious tale looks like the less likely of the three. Regardless, the moral of the story is: don’t punch anyone and don’t give the police someone else’s drivers’ license.

Also, and perhaps more importantly, even obscure locales such as “Banana Joe’s” aren’t so obscure in the internet age.
