The 33-point victory margin matched the largest ever by Texas over Oklahoma, as the Longhorns extended their lead in the series to 56-39-5.
And, nice stats:
The Longhorn defense limited Oklahoma to just 171 total yards — 77 rushing and 94 passing. Texas racked up 444 yards.
Normally, I’d be really stoked by this type of score, but it’s been clear for a couple of weeks now (okay, since the beginning of the season) that OU is not well.
So in some sense, while I’ll take the win, it’s a bit like kicking them while they’re down.

Oh, I don’t mind kicking whle they are down
Since many commentators seemed to think that UT might still lose, I figure this was a huge positive regardless of OU’s record.
I will say that I would have preferred to drub them when they were ranked.
