David Greenberg opines on his stint as guest-blogger at Drezner’s place. He concludes: “I’m not cut out for blogging.”
Apparently, there is much consensus on this count.
I think that the main flaw in Greenberg’s critique is that he is taking a handful of comments far too seriously and is generalizing from far too much from far too little data. That blogs (especially big ones) attract reades who range from annoying to downright rude, is no shock. And I would argue that while one can learn some things about a blog’s readership from the comments it receives, on can hardly reach any conclusions about a specific blog, or the blogosphere in general, from a handful of comments.
A side note: it is odd that in the period during which Drezner has had David Greenberg and Suzanne Nossel guest-blogging, that it is impossible to know who is posting (just click and scroll to see what I mean). It seems to me that when one has a guest blogger/bloggers, that one ought to clearly indicate who is doing the blogging.

Strange, but I recall names on those posts while they were fresh.
Its possible that Drezner deleted the guestblogging accounts. So Movable Type doesn’t know who posted what where.

MUCH TO LEARN HE STILL HAS
David Greenberg’s look back on his stint as a guest-blogger for Dan Drezner–is so strange. So immensely strange: As I thought about what else to opine about, I started to see that blogging wasn’t as easy as it looked. Who…
