    I was hit last night around midnight CST; noticed a bunch of messages in my mailbox. I just hooked up a little bit of code that looked for the words they were using and automatically dumped any trackback with the words in it into my IP address blacklist. Apparently it was a distributed spamming attack using malware (a worm/trojan/something), since it came from a hundred or so IP addresses.

    I updated and added a file people can download. If, and only if, they understand .htaccess redirects should they use it…

    I also added a link to a WP plugin that does something similar.
