By Steven L. Taylor

Well, actually, it seems that he has actually more or less said “yes” but still needs a week according to El Tiempo.  Fajardo has now sent a letter to Mockus expressing his position in which he said that his “personal disposition is to accept but that my first obligation is to listen his family within Compromiso Ciudadano to guarantee that our principles and platform” are in sufficient synch with the Green Party.

In all honesty, Fajardo’s campaign has been sufficiently vague that I am not sure which principles are at issue, per se.

The deadline for inscribing the candidates is tomorrow at 6pm, although modifications can be made a week from Monday—the exact legal nature of such modifications (i.e., what can be modified) is unclear to me.  The calendar with the deadlines can be found here.
