Via El TiempoSe duplica opinión desfavorable de los colombianos a manejo del Gobierno frente a la corrupción

La opinión favorable del Presidente bajó del 70 al 64% y el respaldo a su gestión del 74 al 69%. La intención de voto por el referendo pasó del 58% al 52%.

Translation:

The President’s favorability fell from 70% to 64% and support for his administration from 74% to 69%.  Stated intention to vote for the [reelection] referendum fell from 58% to 52%.

Also of interest:

  • 51% of respondents were dissatisfied with the Uribe administration’s handling of corruption.  In July, that number was only 22%.
  • 46% of respondents think that things in Colombia are “getting worse.”
  • If Uribe is not allowed allowed to run, this poll predicts that uribista Juan Manuel Santos and independent Sergio Fajardo would emerge from the first round of the presidential election to face off in the second round (two different scenarios are provided in the poll).
  • 80% of respondents have a negative view of Venezuela.
  • 71% of respondents have no strong attachment to a specific political party.

The poll was conducted by Gallup.
