Via the BBC: Mexico favours Brazil trade pact
Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon has said he will propose a free trade agreement with Brazil.
Calderon is heading to Brazil for a three day trip.
It will be interesting to see Brazil’s response, as it has balked in the past at too much regional integration, as it prefers its current status as economic hegemon in South America. Any integration with Mexico means more hemispheric integration which inevitably brings the US into play.

On Brazil, I’d like to see your thoughts on the new Nixon tapes release showing him pressuring Brazil to help him knock off Allende.
