Via the BBC: Israel begins Gaza attacks lull
Israel has halted military operations in Gaza for three hours in the first of planned daily ceasefires, it says.
An Israeli spokesman said it would allow Gazans to “get medical attention, get supplies… whatever they need”.
There were at least two air strikes on Gaza in the first few minutes of the ceasefire, and correspondents say it is unclear if it covers all of Gaza.
When one hits a UN-run school, one has to find a PR response, I suppose:
An Israeli attack on Tuesday on a UN-run school building, being used to shelter people who had fled their homes, killed 40 people, UN officials say.
More on the school via the LAT: Gaza: U.N. school hit by Israeli shells in Gaza, killing at least 30 as fighting rages on.

My understanding is that the response for firing on the UN school will be filing a formal complaint with the UN over Hamas’s use of human shields, and questioning the UN why Hamas was firing from inside or near the school (i.e., why UN officials didn’t seem to complain about Hamas’s actions before Israel returned fire).
It’s an interesting way to play defense.
