In perusing Crooked Timber yesterday, I noted this post by Eszter Hargittai about New Year’s resolutions (which, like Eszter, I am not into making, for much the same reason) and I noticed a ref to an older post of hers on something called Project 365. The idea appealed to me, and I decided to give it a try. If anything, it will give me an excuse to indulge my interest in photography, and it had a nice blogging tie-in.
I am not sure if this will turn out to be a chronicle, per se, or what, but it should be interesting to see how it evolves.
Here are the first two entries.
365.2: Otters!
The title of 365.1 is pretty self explanatory.
365.2 is from the new river otter habitat at the Montgomery Zoo which we visited today.

This is really cool.
It would be a challenge, however, and I bet you’ll feel bad if you miss a day, as for me at least would be inevitable given my inclination for forgetting stuff.
Still, it’s intriguing.
But I wouldn’t be able to post them on my own blog because that would ruin the nature of my non-chronicle-y blog.
Still….

I am curious as to how much it ll end being chronicle-y and how much some days it will just be a photo. I am guessing that my personal tendency will be to make it somewhat chronicle-y, but am hoping it forces me to simply take photos I might otherwise not have taken.
Missing a day is no doubt inevitable.
We’ll see how it goes.
And I did think about it being a thematic problem for your blog.
