Juan Cole has an interesting post on his encounter with Rick Warren at this weekend’s Muslim Public Affairs Council conference.

The AP has a write-up on the Warren’s appearance at the event as well (although the piece is more about the politics of Warren than it is about the MPAC event).

I just can’t believe he is sincere when he says he likes gay people. Or, at minimum, he does not respect them as “full” citizens.

  2. KipEsquire Says:

“Local television in Los Angeles showed a short clip of Etheridge after the event asking gay leaders to reach out to Warren, just as they wanted him to reach out to them.”

Um, gays are forbidden from joining Warren’s Saddleback Church. So much for “reaching out.”

The man is a vulgar, vile bigot. All else is sophistry.

    No More Mister Nice Gay.
