Ok, it is from earlier in the month (and I came across it basically by accident1 ), but given the Rick Warren backlash, I found the following paragraph from a column by David Limbaugh to be rather amusing:

The cult mystique of Barack Obama continues while his fawning supporters blindly accept every move he makes, proving their support for him in the general election was not based as much on policy as personality.

Really, with the campaign now well over, critics of Obama need to find a new narrative. Further, it will become quite obviously very shortly that Obama is hardly going to get a free, fawning pass once he is in office. First, no president does and second, I expect (again, as the Warren situation and some of the criticisms of his cabinet selections have already demonstrated) that he will get some of his most vocal criticism from his left flank.

One Response to “Amusing Paragraph of the Day”

I think Obama will always be seen by some as a pretty boy.

For me, he’s a wuss until he proves otherwise - but I treat everyone that way, and he hasn’t had time to prove himself yet. Who knows. Maybe he’ll turn out to be tough after all.

So far I am unimpressed by his cabinet appointments. They are mostly people who were in Washington during the Clinton years, and as such have as much to do with the problems we have right now as anyone else. They are hardly the agents of change that he promised.

I’m a bit relieved in a sense, though, because I know that it will be the familiar liberal crap, and not something new and radical. I can deal with the familiar crap with an ample supply of Jack Daniels and G.L. Pease.
