Via Rasmussen: 84% of Illinois Voters Say Blagojevich Should Resign
Eighty-four percent (84%) of Illinois voters say indicted Governor Rod Blagojevich should resign, according to a Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state Wednesday night. Just nine percent (9%) disagree.
While respecting the notion that he is innocent before the law until proven guilty, it is rather difficult to read the released conversations, amongst other things, and think that he ought to stay in office. Even if he manages to avoid prosecution (which, quite frankly, seems unlikely), it is pretty clear that he irrevocably damaged his ability to govern. It would certainly be impossible for him to appoint an untainted Senator at this stage.
And who knew the Blagojevich family was so large?
Just seven percent (7%) say the governor is doing a good or excellent jobSphere: Related Content

Well, let’s say he did not get where he is (or rather, was, before getting caught) without having a rather large ‘extended family’. A political-machine type of family, that is.
But 9% of the state’s population seems a bit high. On the other hand, error-margin caveats aside, maybe the ones to focus on are the 2% who evidently don’t think he is doing a good job, but still want him to stay.

Hmmm. That was basically my take, too. Arrived at independently, of course.

Nine percent? Hmm….I would have guessed that he was in on some corrupt bargain with at least 14%.

That’s because 9% of Illinois voters want to see Blagojevich impeached.
