Via the AP: Dobson shifts positions, may endorse McCain

Conservative Christian leader James Dobson has softened his stance against Republican presidential hopeful John McCain, saying he could reverse his position and endorse the Arizona senator despite serious misgivings.

“I never thought I would hear myself saying this,” Dobson said in a radio broadcast to air Monday. “… While I am not endorsing Senator John McCain, the possibility is there that I might.”

In all honesty, I am not sure what other choice Dobson has. While he and his organization have made noise at times about sitting out a given election, the bottom line is that they have no leverage or significance if they opt out of the GOP coalition. As such, an endorsement of McCain is a likely outcome at some point in the near future, I would think.

    1. For the Gas Tax Holiday, unable to read a globe, warmongering, speculation, resigning co-chairs, now pathetic commercials that are approved by McCain…

If the 2024 McCain met the 2024 McCain there would be a fistfight on the senate floor..

What a ridiculous, old, out of touch war mongering, ecomomically clueless excuse of a candidate the republicants have come up with. He like Bush have no connection to average Americans and their struggles. McCain isn’t capable of representing the people of the U.S. without damaging us worse.

This is all the republicants have, they had Mitt Romney and opted for this guy, I have burned my RNC card and I have sold all of my Google Stock and I am hiding in my basement in Broolkyn Heights

Oh yea, Stupid ad. Keep wasting your money RNC
