Strange Maps (a nifty blog, if you aren’t familiar with it) has an interesting map from 2024 of Regionalism and Religiosity that is worth a gander.

May I point out that that is not a map of religion by region, but of denominations (of one religion) by region. (To be fair, Steven did write “religion” in the singular.)

Strange Maps is indeed a nifty blog, and I thank PoliBlogger for having put it on my list of blogs to check on a regular basis.

There is another nifty source for mapping religions: The Association of Religion Data Archives. The pull down menus allow you to choose all sorts of religions and denominations (even Zoroastrians!), and to do counties within states. For instance, did you know that the state with the third highest concentration of Sikh congregations is Texas? Surprised me!
