She needs maps from The Iraq.

    (Hope you know the reference.)

I am putting a map of the Middle East on my final, but I’m not making them learn capitals. Maybe next semester I should give them a map test of Europe. When we were talking about basic locational geography the class commented that it was like 3rd grade, but my guess is there are several that won’t do much better than she did.

    Kip,

I thought of the “The Iraq” ref also.

Reading just a little about her background makes me assume that it is no act.

  5. Jay Says:

Of course it is. I mean, she might not have known the specific answer, but the France and Europe thing are too over the top and polished to have been anything but comedic.

  6. Jan Says:

You would be surprised at how many people think that Europe is one country now because of the European Union.

  7. Dr. Steven Taylor Says:

Somehow I am guessing that Ms. Pickler is unaware of the EU. ;)

  8. Jan Says:

That is always a possibility too.
