I am putting a map of the Middle East on my final, but I’m not making them learn capitals. Maybe next semester I should give them a map test of Europe. When we were talking about basic locational geography the class commented that it was like 3rd grade, but my guess is there are several that won’t do much better than she did.

Of course it is. I mean, she might not have known the specific answer, but the France and Europe thing are too over the top and polished to have been anything but comedic.

You would be surprised at how many people think that Europe is one country now because of the European Union.
