Just a word to any who might wish to directly communicate with me (as opposed to via public comments): please do not call me on the phone and leave me voice mails at my office. If you wish to send me information or otherwise discuss an issue, please e-mail me at dr.sltaylor -at- gmail.com. If you call and leave me messages asking me to call you back, odds are you won’t be hearing from me.
And really: PoliBlog is not a public service wherein I will post whatever you think I ought to post. While I am happy to entertain suggestions, I write about what I want to write about when I want to write about it. If you have something you really want to get on the ‘net, I suggest starting your own blog.
Further, I would note that I am a skeptic when it comes to randomly delivered information that is based on hearsay or personal theories. If your information is insufficient to move the mainstream press to publish it, it rather unlikely that I will simply take your word that your information is valid.
Thanks.
(And now back to our regularly scheduled pontificating…).

I’m thinking of running for mayor of Troy. Will your department make me some posters?

Here’s something I thought was good:

Good posts on Chavez by the way. Pretty much a surprise for everyone it seems. One of the main portuguese papers had his victory on its front page and had to publish a correction on the next day.
This is good too:

I demand you write a post about how Hugo Chavez and Raul Castro are combining their DNA in Joseph Mengele’s secret lab in Brazil. The MSM is covering this up, probably because (as rumor has it), the offspring of these terrible experiments will become the new Cobra Commander.
Do my bidding! I command it!

And here I thought I was bad, sending a friendly Christmas card to your office last year.

And people will think he is making that up. That was one of the funniest phone calls ever.
What, that isn’t common knowledge?
Actually, I thought that was a nice surprise. And now I feel like a creep, because I don’t think I ever thanked you…

Oh, that’s quite okay.
I have a surprisingly large mailing list of bloggers we send cards to, not counting ones who are relatives. There were 18 on the list last year, including the surreptitious one to you. Usually I ask for an address first, but since that was findable, made it a surprise.
You are quite possibly Deb’s favorite blogger, at least when it comes to the political.
