- According to a televised report on WSFA in Montgomery, one has to go back to 1918 to find a tornado-related fatality in a school in Alabama. Those deaths (8) were in Dothan (near Enterprise) and was also at an odd time of year for such a weather event.
- WDHN in Dothan has some pictures and some video of downtown Enterprise at about the time the Enterprise High School was being hit.
- According to the Montgomery Advertiser, the death toll has risen to 17: Storms kill 17 in Enterprise
