Apparently, someone predicted what Time would do (either that, or Time stole the idea).

Althouse, meanwhile, terms the whole thing “Unfathomably dorky,” August J. Pollak says it is “Lamer than anything that has ever been deemed lame,” and Atrios (with my favorite) dubs it “Everybody get s a trophy day.”

The more I think about it, though, the smarter it is: we would’ve been talking about the PoY regardless, but this choice guarantees even more coverage via all of us making fun of it.

Does anyone actually like the choice?
